2012 - A New Record!

A New record for StarMile Nevis & Saint Kitts!

For it's 10th anniversary StarMile Nevis&Saint Kitts has beaten a new record of participants as it was sold out. 150 athletes were on the start line to face a new challenge. For the first time the 2,5 mile swim started in St Kitts to finish in Nevis where an important crowd and a buffet party was waiting for the swimmers.

This was an open race as the two recordman of the distance Chris Mc Cormack and Olivier Marceau were not there to défendtheir title. Olivier Marceau, his expected this week on the Island to compete in the TriStar111 Nevis next Saturday. After 1H08 the first man to reach Nevis was Brian Harts (USA) who arrived 3 minutes before his runner up a 14 year old kid Sachin Sankat from Trinidad and Tobago.

The first woman Was Johanna Starr from Nevis with a time of 1h20 just a few seconds before her runners up. The Rookie of the day was 8 year old who finished in 2h24, while the oldest who was 81 completed the swin in 2h00. Limits? What limits?
